If your question is about your account — you cannot sign in, you need an account, or you need one removed — contact the administrator who set up DEVI at your organization. They can act immediately; we cannot change an account on your organization's behalf.
If the app itself is not working — something is broken, wrong, or confusing — write to us directly at [email protected].
Contacting us
Email [email protected]. We reply to every message, normally within one business day.
So that the first reply is a useful one, please include:
- What you were doing when the problem happened.
- What you expected, and what happened instead.
- Your organization, and the email address your account uses.
- Your device and iOS version, from Settings › General › About.
Please do not include case information, evidence details, personal information about a member of the public, or anything else your organization treats as sensitive. We do not need it to help you, and a support mailbox is not the right place for it. A description of the screen and the step is enough.
Common questions
I do not have an account. How do I get one?
DEVI is not open for public sign-up, and there is no way to create your own account. Accounts are created by an administrator at your organization, who decides who has access. Ask that person. If you do not know who it is, your supervisor will.
I was given an account but cannot sign in.
The invitation you received carries a temporary password that is single use and expires. If it has already been used or has expired, the administrator who set up your account can issue a new one. Check that you are entering the email address the account was created with, including the correct domain.
I forgot my password.
There is no self-service password reset, deliberately. An administrator at your organization resets it for you. This is a security decision: it means a password cannot be reset by someone who has only managed to reach your inbox.
Can I sign in without typing a password?
Yes. You can turn on a passkey, which lets your device confirm it is you instead of you entering a password. It is optional, it is set up from inside the app, and you can remove it at any time and go back to your password.
I have a new phone.
Install the app and sign in with your existing account. If you used a passkey on your old device, set one up again on the new one. Your account is unchanged; nothing needs to be reissued.
Someone has left the organization.
Tell your administrator. Removing the account is what ends access, and it takes effect immediately.
Does the app work without a signal?
Signing in needs a connection. Once you are signed in, the reference material the app provides is available to you, but sending anything the app prepares for you depends on your own email app and therefore on having a connection.
What happens to what I type into the app?
It stays on your device while you are working and is handed to your own email app if you choose to send something. It is not uploaded to us. The Privacy Policy sets this out in full.
Reporting a security problem
If you believe you have found a vulnerability, please report it to us rather than to a public forum. The Security page explains how, and what you can expect from us in return.
For administrators
If you administer DEVI for an organization and need help creating or removing accounts, changing who has administrative access, or onboarding a new team, write to [email protected] and say which organization you are with.
